Education HUB Centers

Transforming Learning and Inspiring Growth

The Education HUB Centers are designed to provide a nurturing environment for students in underserved communities, particularly in the Tellippalai Division and Moor Street Village. These centers aim to build a love for learning, provide academic support, and offer extracurricular activities that engage students holistically.

We also aim to create learning environments that prioritize critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration, while fostering self-reliance among students and families..

Auditorium

Designed by Kohilam Chandrahasan

This is a 1100-seat auditorium in the North province in Sri Lanka, which can use for all education workshop and meetings, cultural programs and other events .

The site for the auditorium was located on a plot of land bounded by school buildings on the north and south sides. The swimming pool to the east and the cricket grounds to the west provided for an interesting context.

The school needed a performance venue that could hold as many students as possible. The 1100-seat
auditorium is designed as a two-tiered venue with the main entrance on the west side. A viewing deck on the east facade provides a gathering area for watching aquatic events at the adjacent swimming pool. Landscape elements with planters were provided along the sides. The project gave precedence to local materials and construction techniques. The masonry blocks that form the backbone of the exterior enclosure were made locally and a temporary production line was set-up specifically for the project.
