What We Do

Education Programs

“Enhancing literacy and skills through HUB Centers.”

Education is a key area of intervention for CMT. The Trust believes that education is a transformative tool that empowers individuals and communities to overcome challenges and unlock their full potential. Through the Education HUB Centers, we provide critical support to underserved students, offering tutoring, skills development, and access to resources.

These centers go beyond traditional education to foster a passion for learning, addressing the educational disparities present in Sri Lanka's post-conflict communities. Key initiatives include:

  • Monthly Cash Grants for school-aged children to cover educational expenses
  • School Infrastructure Development, including libraries and computer labs
  • Teacher Workshops focused on interactive teaching methods and multimedia tools

Through workshops, community dialogues, and training, we encourage youth and adults to embrace non-violence as a solution to conflict and injustice.

The program is designed to:

  • Facilitate discussions around peaceful coexistence
  • Empower communities to engage in non-violent action for justice and equality.
